Look when she died...1880. She was ONLY 42. This would answer why she is not mentioned in letters. Now could it be possible that her husband came over to Canada?
Here is her name in the equivalent to our findagrave at gadur.is Cemetery: Muli Cemetery Mikligarður
Old East Slavic: Tsargrad, Old Norse: Mikligarður

The medieval Vikings, who had contacts with the Byzantine empire through their expansion through eastern Europe (Varangians) used the Old Norse name Miklagarðr (from mikill 'big' and garðr 'city'), later Miklagard/Miklagård. This name lives on in the modern Icelandic name Mikligarður and Faroese Miklagarður.

Dýakot - This word is not used anywhere.
Breakdown of the Regions in Iceland
Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla is a county of Iceland. It is located in the Norðurland eystra region of the country.
Mývatn, one of Iceland’s largest lakes, is located in central Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla.

Could not find Ness, found Laxa in Adaldal (Google Map)

I believe what they mean by "Ness" is Ytri-Neslond, Neslondum, Lake Mývatn, which is the birthplace of all of them. OK, let's focus on Burial.

? The old cemetery is located where the old church stood at the vicarage at Húsavík Auðbrekku . The church stood in the middle of the park was made by the foundation and its wood was sold shortly after the new church was started in the town center in 1907. It is not known who was first buried there but there is a monument since 1754 in the park.

WE NOW have a connection to the descendants of Pall in Iceland, thanks to cousin Dorothy Tytgat - "these relatives in Iceland knew very little about their Christopherson (Kristofersson) lineage. Their grandfather's mother (Kristveig) died at a young age, and all the rest of her family emigrated to North America, except for the young boy Pall who was raised by his father who, no doubt, remarried.

So Pall and his descendants had no connection to that line of the family until I [Dorothy] appeared on the scene in 2002.  This piqued their interest in their Vestur Íslenka relatives, and they became keen to learn more about these Kristofersson relatives who live in N.A., as well as Icelandic information e.g. where the family had lived..."

Kristín Sigurðardóttir
During the Cousin Tour 2014, Mike Christopherson, and Roy flew out to Iceland for 2 weeks. During this time, we met Kristín Sigurðardóttir and her husband Julius Jonasson. They live in the beautiful harbor of Husavik. The hospitality they entended to us was grand.
We stayed overnight and learned about our connections, and families. Kristin is the great grand daughter of Kristveig.

Jónas Björnson andaðist 6. október 1964, í Princess Elizabeth sjúkrahúsinu í Winnipeg, Man. Jónas giftist Ólöfu Bjarnason, seinni konu sinni, á Betel, 21. febrúar Þ a n n 3. ágúst síðastliðinn varð Jónas fyrir því slysi að detta og mjaðmabrotna. Hann var fluttur í almenna spítalann í Winnipeg og lá þar í sjö vikur. Svo var hann fluttur á Princess Elizabeth sjúkrahúsið, þar sem hann dó. Jarðarförin fór fram í Grundarkirkju í Argyle, 9. okt. 1964. Séra Kristján Róbertsson flutti síðustu kveðjuna. Hópur frænda og vina kvöddu Jónas í síðasta sinn, í gömlu kirkjunni hans. Hann var jarðsettur í Grundar grafreitnum við hlið fyrri konu sinnar, Sigurveigar. — Gamli góði vinur, „Far þú í friði, friður Guðs þig blessi. Hafðu þökk fyrir allt og allt." Börnin sem lifa foreldra sína eru: 3 dætur, þ æ r , Mrs. Wm. Hogg (Cary), Campbell River, B.C.; Mrs. J. Bjarnason (Kristín), Winnipeg, Manitoba; Mrs. A. de Keruzec (Berta), Coquitlam, B.C.; 4 synir, Leo, Vancouver, B.C.; Otto, Rúrik og Sigurjón í Winnipeg. Líkmenn voru: John Guðnason, Alli Sigvaldason, J o h n Johnson, John Christopherson, J. B. Christopherson og Frank Skardal. Honorary pallbeares: Ingólfur Helgason, B. S. Johnson, Stígur Antonius, Clem Skardal, Chris Skardal og Carl Thorsteinson.
